Introducing: The Ending World!

Hey, Endingers!

For those of you who haven’t heard, Team Lindsey is opening up The Ending world to other authors! While Dani and Zoe’s adventures have come to a close, with the exception of a couple small companion projects here and there, The Ending world is still ripe for more mischief and mayhem.

What’s all the racket about?

In 2012, we started dreaming up After The Ending, the first book in our crazy, dually narrated post-apoc adventure, which later turned into a four book series. The Ending world evolved alongside our characters and took us on one helluva ride. But, unlike Dani and Zoe who deserve a bit of a break and a happily ever after, there is still much exploring to do in The Ending world. We spent years building this multifaceted place that we love so dearly, and we’re not quite ready for that journey to end. We thought the best way to discover other characters, traverse other parts of the country—and even the world—and partake in additional adventures would be to let other authors who love our world almost as much as we do, tell stories of their own in said world.

What does this mean for Endingers, exactly?

Opening up The Ending world to other authors means that there will be more stories in the Virus-ravaged world we’ve created. Readers will find Easter eggs that connect back to the beginning, you will discover new authors, and you’ll also have new characters to root for and fall in love with. It also means that 2018 is going to be an exciting year for you. You’ll have a new story to read this year, and likely a couple in 2019 (no more hints about this quite yet).

Other Authors? How can I get involved?

This isn’t a thoughtless process, we can assure you. The world of The Ending is a complex one, filled with its own science, terminology, supernatural powers, and demented souls ready to wreck havoc on characters’ lives. There are so many facets to this world, even we are still cataloguing and trying to chronologize events and happenings.

That being said, we aren’t letting everyone write in our world. There’s a selection process and it doesn’t end there. Not only are we particular about who we consider for this project, there are parameters and requirements that come into play, as well. This is our world, after all, and it’s a world we wouldn’t entrust to just anyone.

We require:

a sample of your writing if we've never read your work
a contractual commitment that you pay for and use our cover designer for series branding consistency
you hire a professional editor
meet our beta readers' approval before publishing, and more.

The Ending world concept is still very new. We’re still working out the kinks and trying to get our process in order to make working with us the best possible experience.
